Hi... and a wish that this year brings you more joy!

SERVE OR SUFFER... path to success

Another year has begun and perhaps like me you have vowed some changes that didn't happen last year but you are sure will happen this year. Well, actually I have now stopped being naive about magical transformations happening overnight and am at peace with the trust that if I continue to apply the science of using The Mirror in my book Power Surge life will continue to improve consistently as it has over the last 7 years.

Here is a quick snapshot of some of the transformation... we started with a small 50sq.metre apartment where the sitting room was also used as a dining room and office... when you work from home with your partner 24/7 this takes on a whole new dimension of the word 'strain'.

To the right, you see me standing in the dining room of our new home on 'moving day'. The reality of what I had achieved had just hit me! I had passed this home many times only dreaming about living here and my partner snook a picture of me taking a moment whilst being a little stunned!

The bottom picture is the life we are working on now. What is interesting is that in the beginning I found it difficult to 'see' inside with my mind to see how it will look so we can get the building plans drawn up. However, over time, I have been amazed how suddenly rooms seem to define themselves without me pushing the vision. It's like having a masterpiece hidden underneath another painting and with every step you take to change your behaviour, a piece of the painting dissolves to reveal what's underneath.

I was recently asked by a group of network marketers how I could help them attract more success into their business.

I asked them... "How many people have you actually served today?"

"What do you mean?" came the reply.

I explained to them that the significance between those that live a poor quality life and those that live a rich life was their degree of service. How many people's lives have they benefited each and every day?

Poor people only focus on themselves(and by poor I mean those who are living with poor quality experiences... poor finances, unloving relationships, far from ideal home, unfilled work) They have 24 hours in a day and of their 16 waking hours, everything is geared to serving only their needs.

One woman, Jane, argued that she took care of her husband and 2 children which counted as 4 people! I explained that her husband and her children was ultimately about serving HER.

Then she went on to argue that she served people at work. I asked her if I paid her what she was currently earning to stay home, would she quit her job? "Yes!" she said without hesitation.

I demonstrated to Jane that the only reason she went to work was to get paid which was again about serving HER needs, i.e. she needs the money. Sure, it is possible that she did in fact serve some people throughout her day but her motivation may not have been close to what it would have been it she wasn't getting paid!

I asked Jane to go through her last 16 waking hours and with every activity she could see that everything, ultimately was about her... and... the reason why she needed to see this was because SUCCESS has a direct relationship with the degree of service we bring to the world and at the end of the day, her only service was to ONE person.

I hasten to add here that ultimately every person's prime motivation is themself so don't think that I am suggesting that you are the last person on the list. On the contrary, YOU are the one to whom the most benefit will be directed that's why I am recommending you take action in this way...

...however, not many people realise that the way to bring out more of what you want is to serve yourself in the best ways possible and how you treat others is a reflection of how you treat yourself inside. Wealth is an expression of self-love. Is all that outward criticism, judgement, berating starting to make sense in terms of how your life is feeling and how your bank account is looking?

I went on to explain to Jane, referring to an earlier situation, how destructive her behaviour was with regard to how she treats herself.

Earlier that day I had been in the ladies toilet where there was a queue. One lady, who looked very agitated, asked Jane (who was in front of me) if she could jump in the queue because her husband was anxiously waiting outside, illegally parked. Jane refused the woman's request, whilst ridiculing her and saying that jumping two places in the queue, would not make much difference!

I reminded Jane that she had been presented with yet another moment to SERVE someone and yet she had passed up this opportunity. The cost of that extra minute to Jane would have earned her much more but she was locked into the 'me, me, me' habit and only focused on the fear of loss.

I opened Jane's eyes to the reality that everyone on the outside is a mirrored aspect of herself. I asked her to imagine every person as a cell of her body. Any moment in which she served another person was actually serving her. I told her that the reason why businesses ultimately generate huge incomes is simply because they SERVE/BENEFIT more people. Afterall, for a business to generate income, it has to have attracted a customer who has paid money because they have benefitted from a product or service in some way.

I explained to Jane that we acquire wealth in relationship to what we are worth to the world. There is the opportunity for every person to live a very rich and fulfilling life however we have to bring value to the world to attract this. I explained to her that the reason why few people don't live a rich life doing a job is that their prime motivation during that time is themselves. There is also a limit to how much they can serve and therefore a limit to their income.

I hasten to add here that ultimately every person's prime motivation is themself... however, not many people realise that the way to bring out more of what you want, is to serve yourself in the best ways possible and how you treat others is a reflection and a physical expression of how you treat yourself inside.

I had first hand experience of this science in action very early on in my career working a job. No matter what company I worked for and what position I held, each and every time I was pulled aside privately, year after year and given an extra pay rise... or, I was privy to perks that only higher executives were receiving.

At the time, I didn't understand universal law and so wondered why this happened. NOW, I understand that I gave more than my job required, nothing was ever too much trouble and I never assumed the attitude of "it's not my job!".

We live in a world so full of illusions. The irony is that generally speaking, poor people scoff at rich people, they criticise and try to demean them as if somehow wealthy people should be ashamed of their success and privilege.... the truth is that wealth is attracted by serving people and therefore wealth is a condition we should encourage and show respect for as it is the most unselfish condition!

Make a life-changing switch today and vow to see every single person around you as YOU. That way, you will do everything you can to treat them well and give them your best attention. Never mind how they treat you, keep in mind that people who treat you badly are in a place of pain... if that were you what would you do? Love them or beat them up?

If you have a business, focus on how many people your business is reaching with your opportunity each day. Don't judge your success by how many people respond or not, you have no control over other people, only your input which is the only power there is in your reality to attract anything to you.

The other requirement is that you must define what you want. Being of service is like accruing air miles.. we all know someone who has collected them for years but never actually been anywhere right? Service earns you points but unless you are defining what you want specific enough to put in an order, you will never get anything from the catalogue!
