annemarie doolin author Annemaries Bio Annemarie excelled in the area of business and finance management and was asked to lecture in this field. She chose to work in the corporate world for 20 years, however she discovered her real passion lies in the exploration of ‘consciousness’ and the science of how we ‘create and manifest’. She began her interest in metaphysics with an introduction to Astrology at the age of 11.

Deepening her experiences in self-development and healing, Annemarie qualified as a Reiki Master in 1985, Melchizedek Method Practitioner in 1986 and Soul Contract Practitioner in 1999.

Her exploration into consciousness, multi-dimensional existence and the effects of the mind, the body and the spirit on physical ‘real’ity, deepened.

She learned about energy in motion and frequencies relating to ‘manifestation’ leading to the discovery of profound truths about the hidden messages in everything around us (something the Egyptians have been showing us for a long time). She later realised she had uncovered a unique gift of being able to ‘see’ the outside world as a reflection of her inner self, her ‘psyche in action’ in a very detailed way.

Knowing how powerfully effective this information could change lives, she focused on establishing scientific information to give credibility to what had become an ‘intuited’ process. It took her 4 years to define a new formula for living called “The Mirror”.

Secrets Blocking Your Success

For the last twenty five years, I’ve explored so many areas of metaphysics and spirituality. Bearing in mind what’s available today, you can imagine how many CDs, books, tapes etc. by the world’s highly regarded masters, I have stored away.

‘Stored away’ being the point!

As life’s becoming more and more successful, I’m digging them all out of the cupboard and doing the exercises. Now, if you knew how much I loathe ‘exercises’ you will wonder at what happened…and why am I doing them now, the time I’m on a roll so to speak, instead of the time I really needed them?

Point is, I didn’t get it. I’ve come across some amazing material. Every time I find something awesome, I put the kettle on and jump online to tell the world and her uncle. Did I put what I read into practice myself? Heck No!

Suddenly the word ‘dumb’ is coming to mind. I know I’m not stupid, so what’s the deal? How come, during those times when life really sucked, I told the world about my pile of lifechanging stuff and yet didn’t use it myself…just left it in a cupboard?

Many years back, in one of Jim Rohn’s seminars he expressed how puzzled he was that despite people paying $6,000 to attend the seminar, they didn’t go out and buy the one book he recommended in the seminar.

Similarly, years later, I invested in Paul McKenna’s hypnosis collection. I was experiencing a great deal of stress working for a bunch of Investment Bankers on the Trading Floor in London.

I was amazed by the results I experienced from the tapes, they worked! I was even excited about going in to work. My lungs were pumping up and down as if by magic, (go figure, it was fantastic!).

I was breathing as if I was totally relaxed although the job was very pressured and my head was saying I was stressed. Did I continue the tapes…No! (OK, that ‘dumb’ word is popping up again..)

Years later I invested in The Sedona Method. Again, I had the most amazing experience in turning my emotions around. Did I continue doing the exercises…No!

Now, my educational background has proven that I am operating at above normal intelligence levels so why on Earth didn’t I continue with something that was working. God knows I needed the help, life sucked in the most miserable way.

I pondered on this for some time and have come to realise that on some level I was actually afraid of being successful. I gave myself an even harder time because I was very ‘aware’ in terms of consciousness. I already knew the resistance was only the energetic matrix of the physical body, doing its best to hang on to the thought pattern as protection…based on the premise that “if I let go of this, what will replace it“. I knew that, and yet I was resisting with all force.

I have no doubt that Jim Rohn already knows one of the reasons why people don’t buy the book. It’s too easy. Paying $6,000 keeps the “no pain, no gain” programme in place right?

If you buy the book, you might get rid of the programme that life can be easy. You might get rid of the fear of being successful and have it all. Well, let’s face it, you haven’t had any practice at having all your dreams realised, how do you know you will handle it?

This explains one of the reasons why, when I needed the hypnosis tapes, I was reluctant to continue to listen to them. Studies have concluded that 83% of our belief systems are controlled by our unconscious mind and it is those programmes which continue to maintain allegiance to the disbelief that we can have it all.

Now I am enjoying life and have so many enriching and successful projects going on, I have no problem devoting an hour a day to listen to the tapes, I actually get excited about it. I wonder what new opportunities are going to present themselves after each session. Success attracts success.

The bizarre thing is that once you actually use the material and actually get into the habit of seeing things through, you end up cutting thousands of corners that you envisaged as potential hurdles before you got started.

You don’t need to go look for your next step, the information will come knocking on your door. The irony about success is that it comes more easily and smoothly than you can imagine when you are in that darker, disillusioned place.

As well as the your misguided beliefs and attitudes about success conditioned by society, you genetically inherit a considerable bunch of programmes from your parents. Effectively you came into the world with a few concrete blocks around your neck before you even start walking.

You know what, success is the easy part. It’s living with lack and limitation which is the hard part – and you’ve already mastered that right, so you’ve got everything to gain!

Grab it with both hands. Your success is already there for you. Instead of doubting your success, simply ask “where” is it.

If you want life to improve, start following up some of those emails that are dropping into your email box from people who have achieved the results you are looking for…release that habit to press the “move to folder” button so quickly. Keep them current, explore them and take some action NOW.

Use the concept of NOW to release any fear and resistance

Speaking about the “NOW”, we humans tend to perceive time as linear . We imagine from where we are now, the future is some point visualised to the right, ahead of us, or extending behind us.

Everything happens in the NOW. Everything is happening simultaneously in the same location. Simply put, the day on which you read this, you term as “today” right? Imagine the same date ten years from now. When you reach that day, will you be in tomorrow or yesterday, or will it be still referred to as “today”. Yes, it will be “today”. You are always in the NOW. Even ten years on, you will still be in “today”.

How does this help?

Taking the premise that everything exists in the NOW, the future has already happened. You have already achieved everything you wanted. Therefore, you have already secured the information, the skills and the experiences you need to make it happen.

So what are you afraid of? You already have what you want within your consciousness! Whatever you are dreaming about, writing a book, living with your dream partner, securing a great marketing campaign, taking on new staff, branding a new product, setting up your own business…you’ve already done it, you’ve got a clear run. Doesn’t that put things in a better perspective.

Trust yourself, you will never let yourself down. After all, you were already born a winner. Do you know how many souls were vying for that body you are in now? And guess who won? How can you fail when you have already won? Seriously, take a moment and really GET this. You won against huge odds.

One last word before you do, make it as easy as possible. No matter how hard things seem from where you are at this moment, you can change it. Don’t dismiss it on the premise of its easy therefore it can’t work, or there’s a catch.

I have spent thousands and thousands of pounds over the past 25 years looking for very effective and easier ways to create success. It would not have been uncommon for me to take a two hour flight for a one hour healing session. That was before I discovered a more remarkably easy way to magnetise my success which I put into my book ‘Power Surge‘.

I don’t believe that everyone in this Universe is destined to live a wealthy life, if we all chose a richer life, practically speaking, the world would probably cease to function.

Ever since serving a hitch in the military, I have been nagged by the question that’s been hanging around leadership since time immemorial: How can some leaders persuade people to believe in them and follow them and other leaders can’t? But it wasn’t the military that provided me with a framework to answer that question. It was Albert Einstein and his quest for the unified field theory of the universe.

Einstein is well known for his special and general theories of relativity, two of the crowning intellectual achievements of the 20th century. But what he is not so well known for is a magnificent quest that he carried on for some 30 years — and ultimately failed in. That was his quest for a unified field theory of the universe. And it was a quest that inspired me, in my small way, to find an answer to the leadership question.

Einstein’s special theory combined space and time into a single concept known as the space-time continuum. He spent the rest of his life failing to develop a unified field theory that incorporated gravity into the electromagnetic field. But it wasn’t his trying to solve the conundrums of physics that inspired me. It was his trying to unify the grand forces of the universe that’s so compelling.

Just as there are grand forces driving the activities of the universe, I’m convinced that there are grand forces driving the activities of leadership. Whether we are talking about small or large organizations, organizations of butchers, bakers or candlestick makers, the same leadership forces — leadership laws, if you will — apply. Or at least that I was my theory, that was my quest: to find the laws of leadership, if they did indeed exist, and then show how those laws can be applied in any organizational challenge. In short, we can have a “unified field theory of leadership.”

I won’t go into the details of how I came to develop the theory — only that after a quest of several decades, working with leaders of all stripes, I developed what I call the Unified Field Theory of Leadership Success. I’m certainly not unifying such grand concepts as gravity and the electromagnetic field; but my theory, in its small way, has helped many leaders around the world raise their leadership effectiveness to much higher levels.

Here then is the Unified Field Theory of Leadership Success. It is not magic dust to transform you into a great leader. It is instead a polestar to guide and help you invigorate your leadership and communication efforts.

The UFTLS is expressed as a series of four propositions.

Business success happens when people get results. Clearly, this is not some strange, UFO- like concept. Instead, it is a BFO a Blinding Flash of the Obvious. Yet obvious or not, it is ignored by many leaders

too many leaders. Too many leaders focus on enabling such drivers as quality initiatives, re-engineering projects, and cost-cutting programs

at the expense of the people who must animate those drivers. For instance, I know of a company that is engaged in the fourth major restructuring in the past half dozen years.

Three of those initiatives have failed, mainly because they ignored the human/leadership aspect. In fact, I propose that the new initiative is doomed to fail too.

It’s obvious why: instead of being driven by a compelling market strategy, strong products, or a vision of marketplace leadership, this new restructuring is being driven by a new computer system! The officers are restructuring the company primarily to better employ that system, not to better employ people for results. I dare say the light that they may perceive to be at the end of the tunnel will turn out in truth to be a search party looking for survivors.

Leaders do nothing more important than have people get results. Another seemingly obvious statement. Yet when I give talks to leaders around the world, and ask them, “What is the most important thing you do as a leader?” some 95 percent of them give every answer but this one. This is the only right answer.

Understand the power in the seeming passiveness of “have.” Leaders cannot get results by themselves. They need others to help get those results. Today, with speed, flexibility, and teamwork being driving competitiveness, the control-freak order-leader who must tyrannize and micro manage can’t compete against the leader who can build and motivate teams to get results. In short, the leader who can “have” others get results.

The best way to have people get results is not to order them but to motivate them. Like leadership purpose, motivation is another concept that is misunderstood by many leaders. If we misunderstand the concept of motivation, how in the world can we motivate anybody to do anything? Here are the four “eternal truths” of motivation:

Motivation is not something people think or feel but what they physically do. Only when people take physical action can they in truth be defined as “motivated.
Motivation is not something we can do to anyone. We as leaders can only communicate. The people we want to motivate must motivate themselves. The motivatee and the motivator are always the same person.
Motivation is driven by emotion. In fact, the words emotion and motivation come from the same Latin root, meaning “to move.” When we want to move people, motivate people, to take action, we engage their emotions.
Motivation happens best when it is triggered by face-to-face speech.

We lead well only when the people we lead are leading well. Let’s throw out the old concept of leadership. That concept is based on the idea of “followership”

— successful leaders being the ones who got people to follow them. Baloney! Today, the speed and scope of change in the marketplace demand a new vision of leadership, leadership that can not only deal with that change but actually speed it up and make opportunities of it. That vision is this fourth proposition. How many times have we heard this seeming praise, “They’re such great leaders, they can’t be replaced!”

Within the terms of the new leadership dynamics, those “great, irreplaceable leaders” are in truth poor leaders that should be gotten rid of! If the leader’s function is to have others get results, then the best way is not simply to motivate them but to motivate them to lead others to get those results. When we challenge our leaders to truly lead, we change their world and ours. Only then are we leading well.

Those are the four propositions of the Unified Field Theory of Leadership Success. Einstein failed in his quest for a unified field theory; but the success or failure of this Theory of Leadership rests with you. Put it into action. Guided by its ideas, develop strategies, processes, and leadership skills.

When you do, I can’t promise that you will develop an e=mc2-like revelation, but you will start on the road to being a better leader. Because the four propositions do provide defining differences between leaders. Those differences are not as grand as the differences between gravity and electromagnetic fields, but they can help you do that very simple, down-to-earth thing that your career, that any career, rests on: lead.
